Whoever this next appointment is, it needs to be the right one for the long term. It’s so important that this one is the right manager for the project we are trying to achieve. We need a complete reset button on this squad. It’s big job, and it will be a hard one but it needs to be a long term, it’s no short term fix with the players we have in this squad. Certain players aren’t good enough, and they need sold. You can’t sell them all at once I know that, so it’s going to have to be 2/3 players in a window each time while trying to bring in quality. Just give us a team that’s committed, that’s wants to win, that wants to drive forward. We’ve been a joke with managerial appointments, it’s imperative this next one is the right one for everyone’s sake.

A Brighton or Liverpool fan I presume?

Leave Brighton to come to one of the biggest clubs in the land, about to enter a World Class stadium ?
With remit to get us out of the Championship before it opens, he’s in his element at Brighton with very little pressure ,and we were one of the biggest clubs in the land if we still were we wouldn’t be again looking for another manager

Mourinho christ no

Couldn't make it work at Man U or Spurs how on earth could he do it here

Couldnt make it work at Man Utd or Spurs? Obv with what the guy has won previously when there is a drought of not winning a trophy at one club is disasterous but shows the level of the guy....

Man Utd, finished 2nd and won the Europa and Community Shield, 144 games with a Points Per Match of 1.97 and a win percentage of 58% (P144, W84, D31, L29)

Spurs, Sacked in the week before the Carabao cup final, so could have won a trophy at Spurs to keep his good run going. Come the end of his career I can see Spurs being the only club not to win a trophy with Mourinho... Win percentage at Spurs was 52% (P86, W45, D17, L24) with a Points Per Match of 1.77.

Thats better percentages than any other manager on our shortlist or we have been linked with and only a select few have won more than him and alot of them arent in the game anymore or even alive.

Roberto Martinez for me, he should never have been sacked in the first place, this is what started this mess. We played some of our most attractive football under him reminiscent the mid 80's. I see the scorn is already here for Roberto, quite pathetic really. MoshirI sacked him and started this turmoil we are currently in.

We aren't one of the biggest clubs in the land hahahaha

We've been irrelevant for at least 15 years.

Think about how many football clubs there are in this country - thousands?

Then think of how many have our history, our fan base and a stadium like Bramley Moore - puts us around 7th?

Won 3 trophies and finished 2nd in the table.

When did our fans become so indulged that they are turning their noses up at managers with the CV of Jose when we have been in the relegation spots more than the top 7 spots these past 5 seasons? lol
Hi, @ForeverBlue92 ,Can you tell me the CV of the man that was just sacked for getting us into a relegation scrap? Thanks.

Let it go. He’s a clown and this circus has enough already.

….regardless of what you think of Everton, we are still a big attraction for managers. It’s a big old world out there, but for this moment let us enjoy this massive stain on our club being removed.
I'm sure Farhad Moshiri is looking far and wide for the the next Everton manager.

Lampard, Rooney, Ferguson, Nuno and maybe blowing £20m on Potter. These will our options.
