I’m telling you Lampard and all the names mentioned have more managerial experience, yes.

Any name is a risk. We could hire peak Alex Ferguson and might still end up going down.

But it’s about minimising the risk, imho. And hiring a manager with no managerial experience, seems a massive risk to me.

Especially given the fact he’s been around the squad for the entirety of the worst run of form in our history we’re currently on.

Experienced managers have got us into this mess. Our only chance of success is hiring a young hungry manager and letting them establish themselves as a top manager.

PL experience is the biggest load of nonsense I've ever heard. It has set us back a long way,

Runners and Riders

Martinez - why? Failed miserably last time around. Cannot organise a defence and refuses to pay attention to set pieces. Plays lovely flowing football but we don't have the players to do so. I think we would be nailed on take us down. A short term deal for someone who wants to change our philosophy so fundamentally makes little sense.

Rooney - doing a very good job at Derby but surely needs more experience before taking on the role at Everton. One for the future.

Potter - if you want a young English manager who will change the way we play then he's your man. Unlikely to leave Brighton mid season.

Mourinho - having a rough ride at Roma and you know Moshiri loves a name. I wouldn't rule it out. He'd keep us up but no great long term prospects. Not for me

Lampard - did an OK job at Derby. Did well at Chelsea but Tuchel has shown the difference an elite coach makes. Would work well with younger players and a long term possibility. Probably needs aa bit more experience.

Ferguson - caretaker yes. Permanent manager , not for me. No experience would be a huge risk.

Favre / Kovac - neither have PL experience but both have done very well at different clubs. Both are out of work and available. I'd go for Kovac myself.

Genuinely question - what non-PL manager has come in and managed to save a club from going down from a precarious position in the new year ?

I remember Silva got some respect for having a decent stab at Hull but they still got relegated.

I'm all for debate and opposition to certain names but can we please stop saying someone is nailed on or certain to take us down. Anyone we appoint could take us down because we are only 2 wins above the drop zone, but no one is guaranteed to take us down and far from it. We can get ourselves out of trouble with a good month. It's absolutely not time to panic and not time to appoint a short term Big Sam type firefighter either.

Won't be Martinez after they see the fan reaction.

I know this was said by many when Benitez took over...but he's not Moshiri's choice like Jaffa was.

I wish bill would stop trying to reheat the same meal (Martinez and Moyes) and try to go with a new dish but it's not unexpected. Just like Moshiri he needs be ousted. Such a lack of imagination

Needs unity and solidity.

Honestly think Dunc will do that to get us over the line. Rethink in the summer.

What @MACCA75 said. And I;m sure there are lots of others too. The idea only managers with PL success have success in this league is pretty ludicrous really. Pep, Klopp, Wenger, Conte, SAF, Mancini, Poch, and even Moyes all had success, won trophies, or improved their club, in their first PL job.

I don't think we are in a position to panic yet. 2 wins and we relieve all the pressure.

Martinez had no squad. Ageing defence, which was completely undermined by a finished Tim Howard, who couldn’t sweep & had at least one calamity per game.

He still took us to 2 semis in his last season. Should never have been sacked.

If Moshiri had backed him with half of what he gave Koeman, we’d be in a lot better place now!

We finished 11 and had 3 years with us, with players not wanting to play for him by the end.

It was the right move. The shame was that it was Koeman who came in (although he did get results)

i totally forgot that Niko Kovac is available, he did a great results with Monaco recently , prove himself that he can turn things around and he promote young talented players

why is Martinez first choice I would never understand, after he got sacked he asked and got( milked ) £10 M from us and now you want him back , pathetic
after all if this is Moshiri choice all I can wish is to finish the new ground and f.. all from our club
