Why would Potter need time, but Rafael isn't allowed time.
Rafael is a dinosaur, his stubbornness will take us down. Potter is a very good manager who gets his team playing good easy on the eye football. I honestly believe potter will move onto big things in management and we will probably miss the boat as always.

You’re obviously a big Rafael fan I take it.

That doesn't really make sense as Moyes was our manager throughout most of that time?

Rangnick's name only came to be mentioned around the time we got Koeman.
I was told , and this may or may not be correct that before Martinez was employed BK interviewed and was impressed with Ralf but decided not to appoint him because of his lack of Premier league experience.

Apparently he was also in the frame but this time as DoF when Walsh was appointed.

I guess its possible but he was at Schalke at the time who were a Champions League side at that point.

Wenger.

If there is any truth to the Arsenal interest and he may miss the involvement in club football, then Moshiri/ Usmanov should use whatever influence he has to get him in.

Similar to Rangnick 6 to 18 month in charge of 1st team before moving upstairs and being responsible for the direction of the club as a whole whilst bringing thru his chosen coaches at all levels. whilst pushing out the failures at all levels.

His age may be an issue for some but his record speaks for himself.

People say Farve but I don't know enough about him. Potter is starting look like the one we should have gone for apparently he was asked and rebuffed shows you the state we are in right now

That’s the problem, for a young coach, the Everton job could either establish them as a top manager or, completely kill their career before it had properly started. If it’s to be a young coach, and I really hope it is, it will need to be somebody with great self-confidence and ambition.
Perrenial issue this what we need is a long term young builder with a progressive style who will encourage youth and develop signings we make ala Rogers or Poch. But the demands of the job mean we need someone who can also get results and withstand the pressure. How to find such a manager... Look at Germany maybe?

….that means being an outstanding coach isn’t enough. We saw it with Colin Harvey, tactically astute but not the best in the transfer market.

its not having a DoF that’s the problem, it’s having the right DoF and giving them the responsibility the role requires.
Fair point.

Favre is a swiss Moyes, he takes crap teams and makes them good, he also lets the DOF source young unpolished talent and he then turns them into stars. Solid defensively and fast attacking football and hes not working. One blip at Dortmund but everywhere else hes been a big success getting clubs their highest ever finishes and European football. Too sensible an appointment for Moshiri though.

He got quite narky about Brighton fans booing poor results the other day, you could see he was genuinely knocked back by it..... for all his potential i don't think he'd last half a season here - a couple of bad results and we'd drive him to meltdown. Say what you want about Benitez, he genuinely doesn't care what we or footballing world thinks of him.
Likewise i know very little about Farve but everyone raves about him. i'd imagine his name will be in the mix should they sack Benitez, Fonseca is still out there and free too but i just don't see anyone coming in and doing much better with the team we have, the financial restraints and the inept board.
I'm not in Team Brands (i think the guys stealing a wage personally) but i do think screw it, the owner has tried pretty much every type of manager from young up and comer in Silva to an Elite like Ancelotti and they've all failed. Just let the DoF do his job and see what happens. He can't pick any worse.
The fan base is as divided as I've ever known it and whilst i don't think Benitez is the main problem here i do think getting a manager in we can all get behind will at least unite the fans. Dunc did that a couple of years ago and i'm not saying put him in charge but we need that feeling of unity again.

I'm almost confident the next manager will be proven in the prem (and proven to be a bit crap, because we can't afford a good one). "Safe hands" etc. Moshiri and co have no balls or imagination to look elsewhere.
