Its basket case mate, top to bottom.

I doubt Duncan’s is in with a realistic shout to be honest, 12 candidates, 6 realistic with a current shortlist of three - apparently - some of the 6 being canvassed presently, that might be your Kovacs etc. We wouldn’t be seeing that process if he was viable. Dunc would have to unite the fan base with results and he won’t get the time by the look of it.
One (apparently) invited to a meeting with Moshiri.

If that's true the jig is as good as up.

managed to steady ship after bad runs and proper tonkings too. Resilience. Pragmatic.

Not a chance

Oh he wouldn’t come here.

But for some reason he’s treated as a “laughable”, and unpopular choice, when for me, he’s done nothing to suggest he’s a bad manager, he just occasionally wears a cap and has a beard so people think he’s like Klopp.

I think I'd like Lampard to be our next Manager.

I've had misgivings about the defensive side of his Derby and Chelsea sides but given the lack of quality in the league and his preference of 4-3-3 I think he'd win us enough games to keep us up.

It would be a big job for him as he needs to build his reputation back up and would need to do well for a few seasons for a currently bigger club to be interested in him.

He's liked by the media so would raise our profile, we might get another season out of DCL and I'd hope our few talented youngsters in the squad would stay believing he'd give them genuine opportunities.

I won't argue with others that point out his flaws, he isn't the ideal appointment but given how the club is currently ran I believe he's our best option.

These are worrying times.

There’s 2 factions at play here, the board and the owners.

I think what we’re hearing is what the Everton board want, familiar faces they can control.

What the owners want is an enigma at present.

If time is a factor, and it is, then why have they not moved on Rooney yet? They can’t be that keen on him unless they are waiting on Derby’s demise. Rooney seemed to be asking them to get a move on so I’m inclined to think that one of the decision makers isn’t keen on him.

Lampard has had two interviews, neither on a yacht so he’s yet to meet an organ grinder. That’s not a good sign.

Vitor Periera looks like a stop gap option if they can’t get what they want before the summer.

The owners have someone else in mind I suspect. It’s unlikely any local journalists knows that side of the house too well.

I don't know, it took Benitez four interviews before he got the job so Lampard is halfway there!
