I like Lampard, but what would I know.
The last two managers have been hell bent on playing negative football, now that is likely because they don't think our group are good enough, which I can understand.
But at the same time, what message does that send to the squad? 'Lads, we are going to absorb pressure and counter, because you're not good enough to play with it'.
That is why I'd like a Potter, Lampard type, who back their team in possession, and also, back in younger players. Lampard to me has a massive point to prove in English football, and I think that alone is worth the punt.
The negative football hasn't worked, we have never been this bad, and to make it worse, it is so boring, uninspiring and shocking on the eye.
