Now that the manager is sorted how long will it take to sort out filling all the roles that Benitez sacked people from.

Once again in worrying Everton fashion we're more happy about who we're not getting rather than who we are. Lampard in his own right his massively unproven and a risk given the position we're in as a club, not just in the table. He simply had a far bigger upside than Pereira but is probably just as much of a risk.

Hopefully he can convince someone like Alli or Loftus-Cheek to come in as another body on loan before deadline day, not sure if we've got the budget for a permanent signing. Keep up us and he'll certainly be backed in the Summer, we'll have a lot more deadwood out off of the wage bill so there'll be a lot of room to maneuverer, we just need to make sure that we get to the Summer safe.

This is why I'm concerned about Lampard becoming manager - he'll have my support to begin with as I want Everton to be successful, but if his appointment emboldens the scummy right wing within the fanbase then I can see real divisions opening up in an already fractured fanbase.

Evertonians against Tories.

@Barca Blue tagging you out of respect.

You horrible Tory

Something I like about the choice of Lampard is he played under both Ancelotti and Benitez at Chelsea. So he knows the methods the players are used to, and the pros and cons of each.

A good starting point to build a relationship with the players and hit the ground running.

If it was start of the season, then yes, as that was what any new manager at that point should have been expected considering it where we finished last season.

Half way through the season after our form with where we are and how many we have lost, staying up will be positive. 10th will be overachieving.
