Only one name for me. Moyes. Will show up the defence, make us harder to beat, and dcl would thrive in his team. Proven he can balance a squad on a shoestring and will eventually get money to spend to improve us. Would he come now though.

How much does a manager who will give us an identity for playing attractive football count in all of this? Plus drive and ambition to manage at the top? (Above a list of past achievements which clearly hasn't worked here)

IMO if we fire Rafael the next manager would do immediately well no matter who he is if everybody miraculously gets healthy and doesn't get injured.

That's what frustruating about this club. There is a good competetive side there, its just a house of cards.

Fonseca is an ok shout but doesn't place emphasis on fitness

I want a coach that will come here and put the players through double training sessions everyday & improve people individually, not some fat Spanish lump that dreams of a back 4 of centrebacks
That was Niko Kovac we should have been all over when he was available.

Not a chance me auld cocker.

Why would he come here when he has West Ham purring

From my post earlier in another thread - here is what we should be hoping a manager can provide:
1) results
2) quality of performance (entertainment)
3) recruitment
4) Motivation of the players

I don't list past achievements, Hollywood, prem experience or name recognition above as I feel it means nothing once they get here.

Next manager needs to be younger, energetic and hungry. Ideally under 45.

They probably won’t have won anything, but will be

No he wouldn’t. Why leave what he has got to put his career on the Line with us?
