Thank God that's over. Every appointment is a risk and his lack of experience does pose questions but at least I feel more hopeful he will try and get us playing attacking football. We need galvanising I hope to God he can do it. At least he plays a 433, develops youth and will have the players respect. Now we have to get some midfielders.

Just for our own sanity so we know how this place will be for the next 'n' seasons.

@davek do you approve of Frank Lampard being the new Everton manger or are you going to go all QAnon about this manager too?

Is right. Nobody ticked every box.
He's got a job on his hands with this squad. As would have any manager. That cant be forgotten in all of this circus about the new manager. Most of this squad are dross. Esp the defenders.
Good luck. You'll need it.

Is odd though that all the headlines are that we've offered the job, rather than confirmation of the appointment.

Everton...

having looked at wikipedia it may be that the 28th of January appears to be a day associated with disasters - in modern times the Challenger disaster, and in medieval times something which really defies explanation:

The Bal des Ardents (Ball of the Burning Men) or Bal des Sauvages (Ball of the Wild Men) was a masquerade ball held on 28 January 1393 in Paris at which Charles VI of France performed in a dance with five members of the French nobility. Four of the dancers were killed in a fire caused by a torch brought in by a spectator, Charles's brother Louis I, Duke of Orléans, Charles, and another of the dancers survived.
