I'm so pleased we have gone for the younger, fresher manager for a change. It may take time but I will be more inclined to give someone who has a lot to prove and won't play defensive football, more time, much more time. He will be respected because of his playing career not long being over.

I’ve got no issue with that at all. Unfortunately it doesn’t necessarily work out in football when people have that attitude. For the record I’m a massive Ferguson fan, I have a woolly hat with his name on from 95. I would have liked him to have been appointed. But if he stays now, he’s proven he didn’t have the minerals in the first place. He needs to move on and come back if he’s been successful.
