Yeah they should because the manager can’t succeed all on his own. It’s the people around him as well that will make him successful. So the manager should have the say on who he thinks is best for the job to work with him. Not forced to take on the ex jobs for the boys players.

Chelsea were weak defensively under Lampard. So they brought in Tuchel to make their defense solid. Exactly.

Our defence right now needs a manager that can make it solid and Lampard is not that guy.

We are rubbish going forward too. So if we want to look at the positives, it's that Lampard may improve us in that area.

Hopefully the manager bump that happens with new managers will gain us enough points to save us from relegation.

They weren't as strong as they are/have been under Tuchel and yes defensive work wasn't his strongest aspect, but was it weak?

They had a goal difference of +10 when he was sacked, with twenty-three goals conceded compared with the thirty-three that they had scored.

For reference, at that point Liverpool and West Ham had conceded one less and were in fifth; it was comparable or better with/that many other clubs.

So, while his record may not be the greatest I'd suggest that it's a bit unfair to call it 'weak'. Look, he's not the ideal choice but he's far (far!) from terrible.
