We’re out of loans though !I agree that he usually chats wham, but I don't think being at the AFCON would be prohibitive to a loan deal - Checks etc. could be done over there.
For an expensive permanent signing maybe; as there has to be a higher level of due diligence involved.

Fair enough then.I think we're okay for a loan from abroad.
He’s a proper football man is Lampard, and his family. One thing for certain is that Lampard has clearly already identified one of our biggest weaknesses effecting both ends of the field is midfield, probably before even applying the job and he is definitely trying to strengthen it before the window closes. Man, Isn't great to not have to say FSW any more.

Top tier midfielder and no way he won’t have been able to spot our midfield weakness.
We’ve got England’s number 1.
Colombia’s best centre half.
Brazil’s centre forward.
England’s back up striker.
We’re not crap. Letting Digne leave looks piss poor now though.

Lampard will keep this squad in the Prem, I would be willing to bet my life on that.People are right to laud Lampard for getting a club like Derby County to the Premier League play-off final. They’re also right to laud him for guiding Chelsea to a top 4 finish without being able to sign a single player due to their transfer embargo. He got them to the FA Cup final that season too.
BUT… has he got the requisite experience to arrest the seemingly terminal decline of a team that is literally losing every single week. Can he get arguably the worst squad in the league out of the bottom 5 when the likes of Newcastle and Norwich are now breathing down our necks and are spending a fortune in this transfer window? At this stage don’t we need a relegation specialist to do a rescue job? Someone like Big Sam but preferably not Big Sam. Let’s be honest: this is a very different job to Chelsea, albeit Chelsea had just sold their best player (Hazard) before Lampard had arrived and of course couldn’t sign anyone as I’ve already said.

We’re not crap mate.
The plan of our last manager seems to have been to just set up to ping crosses into the box.
Maybe a younger manager will have newer ideas now.
Let’s hope so.
I’m fully behind him Matty.ping throw ins? cheat, dive, moan, get at the ref, foul.
i love it!
