yes, but you can see that the obvious reaction to employing somebody so hated by the fans will be for the pendulum to swing the other way. Rooney makes perfect sense.

However, we should be taking the emotion out of it, we need cool heads and the right appointment. Too many managers have come and gone, we really need the next one to stick. Get Ralf when Utd sign zidane.

We will struggle to attract a manager of any worth. We have useless squad, most of whom we can’t give away, and the remainder who will probably want away. We have no access to funds to replace them.
