Im not sure it matters white Rafeal is here, as cleary he does not really want a DOF, or maybe he just wanted his mate in the role.

These players we have signed and most we are linked with are without doubt (IMO) Brands scouted / selected players, as we have had strong links before.

Looking more and more likely that Brands was not "sacked" becasue of failure, but more about Rafael not liking him and winning the power pull.

Anyone know the meaningful difference between a director of football and a sporting director?

Seems that most of the big clubs call the role sporting director which hints that it has a more overarching reach.

I think the promotion of Graeme Sharp is the club's answer to replacing Brands. Giving an illusion of a football man on the board but just there to rubber stamp whatever Kenwright and Moshiri do.
