Its the summer of 07 wasn't it which is still bearing us most of the fruit with the likes of jags,baines,yak,pienaar all shining.

The worst part i feel as a fan is that we were lied to.Remember Eistone's post on the website that we'll get the players sooner than the pre season. Well if you can't do it then atleast they should tell us that its not gonna be summer of signings as we expect.There has been interest only but to me the interest is proven when you BID for someone and uptill now we bidded for just naughton who we did'nt but should have come. Its better to know how much in the hole we are so that we just stop expecting, although i wasn't expecting much in the summer anyways. at worst we could have been signed a couple of championship players. Joe Ledly's an established welshman and can play as a squad player if not more at 4 or 5 million.

All i hope now is that we don't miss out on Rasmus Elm like we did on Tiago last season, he's a smashing lad!

Anyone else notice that not many foreign players are plumbing to join the Premier Leauge. In fact many of the high profile names want to leave to join different leuges.

I put it down to the UK tax nets for higher earnings compared to other countries and the sterling exchange rate. So i dont see any big name Defours or Moutinhos rocking up anywhere in Merseyside this season, even though im sure someones mate will see them.
