Wildlife in your Garden

Pretty sure I've seen a bat the last few days flying around behind my summerhouse just after dark.
When we moved to our house I was tidying up some chopped logs and I heard a hissing sound ,knowing there were snakes I was careful but it was winter anyway when I lifted a few more it was a bat .I returned the logs and have no idea if it was fine but it had gone in the spring -eaten ? dunno

Wood pigeon flew into our downstairs window. It wasn't badly injured as it flew away but we have the perfect imprint of it on the window. We have also, in the past, had an owl and sparrow hawk do the same thing. The wood pigeon hit the window just behind where I was sitting. Really made me jump as it was one serious impact.

I've had that happen a few times. As you say, it's amazing how perfect the imprint can be. It's usually easy to tell which type of bird it was even if you never see the bird itself.
Now go and clean up the chair where you were sitting at the time lol
