No chance he'll be a complete flop - full Italian international/performed to a good level in the Prem.

The above two factors have to be central for all Everton transfers now - the ability to sell them and low odds they'll be complete duds.

People keep saying we don't need wingers but we definitely do, we didn't have 1 vs Fulham.

Iwobi last year of contract and isn't a very good winger - he prefers to play centrally.
Danjuma - none of us have a clue and I think they'll play him upfront.

That leaves us with Harrison and McNeil - we need another. We definitely need some pace and urgency in the final third too.

My only concern with Gnonto is whether he can score the goals we need from all new signings who come in the final third.

it is a bit weird isn't it. Maybe theyre thinking gnonto can play through the middle but he's a bit tiny for that like

We had one on the pitch against Fulham but danjuma was on the bench and McNeil was injured, and we've since signed Harrison. I don't think people are saying we don't need wingers really, it's more that we need a striker so badly it's confusing to see us linked with another winger. Hopefully we get both as you say

Apart from a portion of the fee for Chermiti, we haven't committed any other fees, have we?

We would have paid a loan fee for Danjuma but with Harrison, I understand we are picking up his full wage with no loan fee?

It just doesn't tally that we are going to lash out £25m on Gnonto, or have any genuine intention of doing so.

The narrative at the start of June was that it was sell to buy and there is no money.

By and large, we've seen that borne out in reality.

If this money-pot is mythical, then at least scout around for a forward on loan, rather than a pointless goose-chase.

Apparently there is some money to do deals, maybe we have 5mil max as a down payment for Gnonto. Gray, holgate and maybe one or two others will be the money for the striker. Unfortunately we’ve seen this before, not having the down payment for a che Adams( thank god) so moved on to maupay, because Brighton were happy with the deal.

Say Leeds wanted 10mil down, moshiri could easily foot the extra 5mil, but obviously it looks like his spending at Everton is over

I think richarlison was 35 plus add ons and iwobi was about 28 With add ons. Everyone we buy the media include the add ons for some weird narrative

£25m for a 20year old Italian international, who shouldn't need a bedding in period as he's had a season is not a lot and it's the type of signing we should be making, there's little downside with regard potential sale given his age and he must have a bit of quality playing for Italy and he didn't crumble in the prem like our last Italian teen.

Still don't like his antics though, It is wrong for players to have so much power, needs nipping in the bud, but they earn so much they don't care.
