My comment on ceiling is less about Lukebakio, and more about how lowly I rate Gnonto's potential.

Let's all remember we are discussing the 6th best winger on a relegated Leeds team from last year.

I imagine if he trains hard and gets match time (unlikely) he could come to be about as good as Anthony Knockaert. Is that potential worth 27 - 32M?

Difference of opinion but not sure he was their ‘sixth best winger’ at all. He’s a talented player, extremely dynamic. Yes, he’s not tall, but he has a lot of power and strength and a low centre of gravity.

Pretty sure Anthony Knockaert didn’t have 11 senior international caps by 19.

I would definitely not want Everton to shell out more than £25m tops (inclusive of add ons), but then a LB with 12 senior appearances to his name is about to go for £28m

Looking at some of the numbers this window £27mil + £5mil is a fair price.

It seems high as we dont usually spend that much on prospects. But its a similar fee to Onana and in 12months Gnonto may be valued at alot more.

Additionally it would leave him, McNeil, Dobbin and perhaps Mills as our only attacking midfield/wide players in 9months time.
