Zaha in Kean out would cap off a great window. Only worry would be if Zaha, Richarlison and DCL play from the start we wouldnt have a striker on the bench to come on only wingers like Gordon Iwobi Bernard

Not sure that would be too much of a worry. If DCL had to come off Richy or Zaha would just go up top and bring Gordon or Bernard on wide. Or even Nkounkou on the left - has shown great attacking play. There's also some James lad that can play wide

I think the best sign I see from Gordon is the work he put into his body. He isn’t a player that will waste his potential away on the binge or do really knobby things off the field. He takes it very seriously.

He does need to take a bit more initiative on the field though. The skill is there. You can see it in the assists he has made so far this year. He has had a tendency to fade in and out of the games so far. I see big potential though.

All though not as exciting as Barkley etc I do think Gordon will make it further . He’s has a lot of very good qualities technically and has pace. He is comfortable choosing with both feet and has the ability to get his head up before he receives the ball and has a very good first touch. He always looks to pick somebody out in the box rather that sound what Walcott does and just get it in. His attitude and application as you have mentioned are exactly what is required and I could quite easily see him becoming a regular player at a decent prem club . I’d rather play him than Walcott , bolasie and iwobi as he’s more effective and a violet much younger with room to improve

That's a good call. My question on the goalkeeping front is are the folks backing Pickford up any good (Lossl, Virginia etc) ??
