Will Rooney play again for Everton?

We could never expect to keep him, I have no problem in him leaving, and with the current modern history of Utd then you can't blame him for jumping ship when offered it to them lot, but it was all engineered by Stretford, at the most we'd have had him for another season max, he was too good for where we are at present.

I'd like to see him back, time is a great healer.

Not arguing the Stretford stuff, and there's no doubt he was massively manipulated and was the absolute epitome of an 18 year old kid getting his head turned, but I don't want him back purely on the principle of it. That, and the idea he's no longer good enough for Utd but he's somehow good enough for Everton... nah. I put up with Everton no longer being elite, but I'd rather my nose wasn't rubbed in it by some egotistical patronising multi-millionaire making out he's doing us a favour for turning out for us.

We already have Gareth Barry doing that.

At least we don't have to pretend Barry has some deep emotional attachment to the club when he's playing crap, nor do we have the knowledge that he chose to give his best years to another club rather than us.
Comparing Barry with Rooney, sorry, that's chalk and cheese mate...

Not comparing ability. Comparing one of these 'He was boss once and played at the top level and won major trophies, but now he's 30+ and not good enough for the very top, but he's good enough for Everton, because, well, they're just Everton' type players.

He could probably make double elsewhere lid.
If he really wanted to be forgiven and rebuild his bridges like the massive blue hes supposed to be he wouldve come to us on a free at the end of his last contract while still in somewhat of his prime, hes already got all the money and trophies in the world, he couldve done good and come back and given us 4 or 5 years, instead he chose the money

The fact he didn't says to me we won't see him play for us again.

If he was still performing at the top level then I'd be up for it.

If not, then the educationally challenged rockbiter can koff.
