Will we qualify for Europe this season?

1 or 2 injuries to this XI and we'll struggle, if we can keep the main XI fit for the majority of the season we could be top half, if we finish 12th or above it's been a great improvement and something to build on, maybe if we improve in a couple of positions we could push for europe the following season, which would be good for Bramley Moore.

I don't think we have been nearly relegated for 2 seasons, perhaps a couple of weeks it looked like a possibility.

There are plenty other threads on here where people can wallow in their negativity, surely we're allowed one where we can take a postive approach?

We were 45 minutes from being relegated to the championship.

Not arsed, since they turned European games into a pantomime.

I would want us, when we get stronger, to get into the European runners up league as won by Man C (shock! Actual champions!) just because of the quality of mercenaries we could attract.

Honestly, wait until we inevitably have 2 centre backs injured/suspended same time and Keane and Godfrey are back in the starting eleven. Then revisit this thread.

You don’t think we were nearly relegated? Ok mate.

I don't intend to move from the "I'll be delighted with 14th" mindset, personally.

Anything at all above that would be an unexpected bonus and I'd rather be happy with it if and when it arrives than convince myself we've got a shot at European competition now and be gutted about finishing solidly mid table.
100% mate. As others have pointed out, we're heading into a trickier spell of fixtures. I'm absolutely delighted with where we are after a terrible start but the prize this season is comfortable safety (no more last few matches ring looseners please Everton) and we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves just yet.

No, we will not qualify for Europe - thats absurd. We also will not go down, guessing we will be fairly comfortable unless the whole -12 points debacle becomes reality.

This.

It sounds boring, and I take no pleasure in saying it but it's a reality of where we are at - a quiet season is exactly what we need. "Stability" is a dirty word nowadays but we need it at the moment. Avoid a relegation fight, get ourselves on more solid ground, hopefully get to next summer with our finances in slightly less disastrous shape and a bit more wiggle room albeit we're no doubt restricted for a long while. Then look to build from there.

On our realisticbest form, no major injuries and some underperformance from other teams we could maybe sneak 9th/10th but I'll happily take any season that doesn't involve a serious relegation fight and go from there.

I would think we can tolerate that tbh as we’re playing very much based on a system, as in no one reeealy stands out or does anything exceptional.
If Danjuma or Dobin can’t replace the graft and the odd cross from McNeil or Harrison then they should even be in the squad.
I guess defence is the big concern esp C/H but you would hope after spell out of the headlights Keane wood be able to put out in some of the better performances which he’s capable of.
Wishful thinking perhaps 🤔
