Will we qualify for Europe this season?

We were 45 minutes from being relegated to the championship.

Less than that, the goal was scored of 57 minutes.. we were 33 minutes away from going down.

We are in the quarter finals of the cup with a very winnable home fixture... This is our best hope of European football next season.

I would think we can tolerate that tbh as we’re playing very much based on a system, as in no one reeealy stands out or does anything exceptional.
If Danjuma or Dobin can’t replace the graft and the odd cross from McNeil or Harrison then they should even be in the squad.
I guess defence is the big concern esp C/H but you would hope after spell out of the headlights Keane wood be able to put out in some of the better performances which he’s capable of.

It depends who dropped out

If DCL dropped out, Beto would be in, I don't think he has the same level of hold up/aerial presence as DCL, so think we'd struggle a little there.

Same if Tarky/Branthwaite was to be out it's godfrey or keane both big liabilities now.

Danjuma doesn't fit the Dyche way I don't think, McNeil and Harrison fit perfectly, think he disappointed in his start against Burnley as well.

If we can make enough distance between us and the relegation zone then we can start looking up the table

No, the top 8 or 9 teams are clearly better than us so even if we had a really good season (much better than anyone was expecting) I'd say 9th/10th would be the absolute best you could hope for so we'd need to do it by winning the League Cup and we don't do that

Better to live in the real world and not place unreasonable expectations on this group of players

Should be backing the team to get away from the drop zone, not pressuring them to aspire to high league finishes that they're not at all capable of right now

Anything we do achieve then is a nice bonus and all the more special

I think Europe is out of reach this season, unless we somehow win a cup! We’re 6/1 for a top half finish, which I think is a reasonable outsider bet. Looking at the top half now, the only team I think we could finish above is West Ham. So I reckon we’ll be 10th at best, more likely 11th to 15th?!

Paddy power are 9/1 for a top half finish.....without any point deduction, that suddenly starts to look interesting !.

We were 12/1 a little while ago. Keep going at this rate and we'll be a shoe in with the bookies (/I'll be cashing out my bet before we mess it up!).

Despite our start to the season essentially giving everyone a 12 point start, we are now only 6 points off the European spots and are one of the form teams in the league.

Champions league will be a step too far this season, but we have to be in with a decent chance of qualifying for one of the other European comps.

We now actually have a glimmer of hope that this season won't be a total disaster. Our focus needs to be:

1) Our first game in the new stadium being in the Premier League
2) If we beat Fulham and scrape enough points before the semi where #1 seems all but assured, go all out to win the League Cup

That's it. Those should be our only goals this season

Since Davies left a large portion of our fans need to vent their negativity somewhere, hence the reason a large have guaranteed our relegation for the third season in a row.
