Guess a lot of it is the moving into good covering defensive positions etc mate and making himself as available as he can to recieve the ball, goes unnoticed during a game watching it but we all remember McCarthy doing a mad 20yard dash 2-3 times in a game to get back at a player and think that means he's a workhorse (rather than usually meaning he was badly positioned to start with)

Carvalho from what i've been watching the past few days is for want of better words - RELLY WIERD!
Looks slow - but never seems to get beaten for pace or exposed from it and when coming forward seems to stay ahead of players who are regarded as fast
Looks a bit lazy in his playing style - but covers an absolute shedload of distance ran in a game
Doesn't look like he should be a good technical player - yet never loses the ball and has great control under really heavy pressure
Doesn't create many goals - but sprays some absolutely brilliant passes around during a game, 40y balls to a winger running at full tilt etc
Opinion on him has changed 360' in a week, would do very well i this league and hope we do get him actually from being really against it when we first got linked

Nah mate this is the first time i'd say yeah go for him
Before now i thought he was just one of those really highly rated players among the FIFA/FM crowd and when i half watched the portugal games - thought he looked slow so jumped all over that as an excuse to not want him.
On reflection though, was being daft as he is actually a pretty good player like
Then again can remember thinking Toure was gonna be a flop at City - so yeah ...

Carvalho has been linked with a large number of teams over the last number of years. He's one of those that seems to get linked to all the big clubs but nobody ever seems to bid for him which makes me doubt him. He's a good player and would slot straight into the side so here's to hoping the Mosh gets the cash out.

To be fair though think i threw in both Carvalho and Neves just based on people rating them on here and there names stuck out on Mendes client list when i looked it up - as never saw the bloke to my knowledge before the Euros's
