Sinner was over pressing. But you have to do that with Djokovic to stand any hope on grass. He couldn't keep his footing.

Alcarez hits way too many half court balls to be successful against Novak. The big Serb will pin that lad back behind the court with deep ground strokes and pick him off when he cant deal with the pace and angles he gets.
What's been your favourite match so far this tournament big D?

Should be a cracking final, I think Djok will win but Alcaraz has played some great tennis this fortnight and could get the win if he plays well on Sunday.
I'm excited. It's the one we all wanted to see. They're both in form. Alcaraz has probably looked less vulnerable, but it's Djokovic on Centre Court in a final. He's likely to elevate. The question is whether Alcaraz can find that next gear, and I wouldn't put it past him.

Djokovic has this skill of just grinding his opponents down and it makes them play worse than they normally would, I think if Alcaraz can get past that and play his own game, he’ll have a good chance of winning.

Bundesliga has more competition than men's tennis. What a snorefest.
Eubanks has been a revelation, Murray is done sadly, Federer is gone, Nadal is finishing up, Djokovic has a season or two at most to clean up what he can, then the next era begins. Borg gave up, Becker burnt out, Sampras faded significantly, then there were the Hewitt years. Grass is now even more specialist than it has ever been.

The same few players have won everything for 15 years or more. It's deadly boring.

That's not tons of variety in that 20 years. Becker 4 times a losing finalist, Sampras never.

The new generation is beginning to arrive. It will probably be like when Tiger Woods broke, once Djokovic loses a step. Lot of good younger players that just can't quite slay the dragon, yet. Alcaraz and Medvedev both posted one, Tsitsipas and Ruud both have multiple finals to their credit, plus the random finalists.

Remove the brick walls, and we're probably back to the '80s and '90s where the glory was spread around. Only men's player to post three in a year back then was Wilander, during that crazy year of his. Women's tennis, by contrast, was just a few all-time greats whaling on one another for most of that era. Great finals to watch, though.

I like how we immediately took opposite sides on that issue.

I remember the colossal dislike for Sampras for some reason and the massive love in for boris until he squirrelled away a load of other peoples money and said he hadn't.
Petey didn't have the big personality a lot of the other people at the top of the game had. Same reason people didn't like Lendl. "Robot" and other epithets.
