Without Neville, Carsley, Hibbert

Agree to some part, but as Captain you just dont do that, it doesn't set a good example to sulk when being brought off. Undermines Moyes authority to an extent.

Remember Blomquist?

I'm not condoning it in any way other than to underline the care/passion aspect I would not be suggesting that the boss discipline him otherwise, which he certainly should.

Incidentally it was Moyes initial handling of Blomquist that made me think we have a proper manager here, and boy did he bawl him out(y)

Before starting threads of this type I wish some of you would just stop and think. Our small squad has spent the season carrying two players, Tommy G and VDM so before kicking people who have run their socks off for us all season get shut of the [Poor language removed] first.

I have deliberately not mentioned Fernandes as today I did see a glimmer of hope but never for the money that will be asked.

Carsley is now being treated like Stubbs and Weir, both of which still ply their trade at the top flight. His experience alone makes him worth keeping, that bloke has seldom let us down. Hibbo today was as good as anyone in our side and better than some.

Tim Cahill and James Vaughan have also missed an entire season between them which doesn't help one bit and Vic's Nigerian health scare could mean he will be out for longer than most. The boss should be recalling Skywalker from Plymouth and adding Gosling and Rodwell to the squad just to bleed them for next season

We do need more useful players and I am certain that David Moyes knows who he wants and how much he is prepared to pay for them

The one big thing to come from the match was Pips substitution, he didn't like it, Moyes called it so maybe we will never see him near midfield again. I wonder if his tantrum will be dealt with internally? On the other hand it is also nice to see he cares that much:D

Ah the clouds have parted and the rain has stopped. :P

I agree that if we want to make his deal permanent, it won't be anywhere near what they want us to pay for him. That's why I think another loan deal would make sense unless they were willing to offload him for 4-6M.

nope, he's just changed his boots. :P

obviously the brightly coloured boots were affecting his game.

Everyone knows my feelings on Neville. He should play no were else than right back and I'm not really sold on him there. What most don't understand about Cars is he keeps this team from falling off the cliff. To bad you have to partner him with Neville the "midfield idiot" who gives the ball away like its a hot potatoe I'm sick and tired of it. It was really wearing on me yesterday. Hats off to Davey to finally see the light and can him for a while. We don't need any pretty boys running up and down the pitch. Cahill is a huge injury loss 4-5-1 can not be done with the troops we have thats fit at the moment and with all our strike force decimated except for Yak that can not play in that system without support. We seem to be the walking wounded at the moment even the players that were on the pitch yesterday Pienaar sick,Arteta groin, etc. our paperthin squad is showing major wear for the run in. I'm in less than a good mood at the moment but getting rid of Cars will only open up more problems. Hibbo needs his confidence back and decent run in the team but then were do you hide Neville. Tricky isn't it.

Good to know. I have refrained from saying it for ages.

His sulk Yesterday... cheeky git.

It didnt undermine anything he was being hurled with vile, vitriolic abuse from all angles and when removed from the field, no-one wanted to take the Captain's armband from him. In a game of such passion he was one of the few in blue that really cared, so one wonders what strange world you must live in to twist that back on him. ridiculous.

some other mug will come for him paying the asking price as Valencia will want shut, he still has 6 games if picked. I always call it as I see it TX, when he is crap, boy is he crap, yesterday there was a sign so fingers crossed. Moyes must play him against Derby but we'll see how he goes in a lower profile game, I suspect he won't be up for it but we'll see mate(y)

Well Monty its good to have some honest banter. I felt he gave us a lift in the second half and we at least strung some passes together. With him in the game you always have that chance of a long range shot that could come off. I have to admit he hasn't been the Manny of last year by any means. But hopefully he confidence isn't all the way shot with us.

I think TBM it is partly me as I never rated him anything like as highly as most did last term when he still went missing for long periods. This time round has done little thats been spectacular but has managed to still go missing a lot. As I said his derby performance was a great improvement and I hope for his sake he comes good but doubts still linger and I would never pay the claimed asking price in any event

Your absolutely right I think we all have a couple of players we individuallly have a microscope on. I think you know mine. But I'm always hoping for better from them. To be a professional footballer you have to be constantly improving or be a cosumate team player. I feel all try to do their best on most occasions but confidence is a big issue for a few lads at the moment.

We need a result in worse way to keep our great season intact.

We need to buy about 10 bleeding players! A top quality right back, a defensive midfielder and an ass kicking centre mid for priorities.

But as the last few games have shown we need depth so if we cant improve the squad with every buy at least strengthen what we do have.

Two out of three? Still need a decent RB?
