As I read and now reply to this, I'm wearing an Everton shirt with Hickson 9 on the back.

How can you not know about Dave Hickson? He worked for the club up to his death a few years back too! He was a Gentleman and an Evertonian Legend.

Agreed. I think Jags would be the first to admit that he'll be used as backup this season. If you're going to blame anyone then blame the club for putting Jags in a position were we've had to rely on him for so long.

Just like Carragher is a blue even though he claims to be a RS. Your born a blue you die a blue, it never leaves you. You can tell Carragher is still a blue despite the nonsense he talks, McManaman. You could even tell towards the end of Rooneys time at United that he still supported Everton. Joey Barton got lots of abuse of our fans, yet he still supports us and loves terrorizing the RS, even though he still talks nonsense most of the time. I think sometimes people just choose money over principles, doesn't mean they stopped supporting their childhood team.

Carragher was on that Sky Premier League launch thingy earlier in the week trying to recreate Neves' goals from last year.

The Sky presenter goes something like 'You don't have to do this Ruben, we don't want you to get injured before Everton' to which Carragher replies 'Oh yes we do!'

Does his best to appease the Reds and force his Reds fandom but he knows where he lies.
 

Big bugbear of mine is on defending corners ....everyone is back in the box ( or about it ) !! Even if we win the first header the ball gets recycled in again Leave a man out and another up front at least for a quick outlet ball ..opponents have to put at least 2 players marking !! eg Walcott or Richarlison with their pace ⚽️

That'll come as the gaffer finds a balance.

Silva has been criticised for his Zonal Marking and we looked to change that yesterday with everyone back and not letting anyone get a run for a free head.

Hope so !! See it with other teams too ..must be in the new 'Training tactics manual ver 2017/18 ' as guite a few managers adapt it now to no joy !! ☺️

I mentioned on here that he was the great young prospect we had early 80's and couldn't understand why we sold him.Apparently a lot of the arl as lads on here said he went to Villa as a stepping stone to play for his team the rs.
