I still bring a bit of sick up in my mouth at the thought of how much of that we've wasted on dross.

You still have a strong side though even without the blokes you got this year.

What we have found our problem will be is attracting players. Money isnt a problem for us at all, Fosun are absolutley loaded and they arent afraid to spend, our issue getting players to sign. We were looking at some really good players ( Mina and Gomes were two of them ) but its hard to attract them to a newly promoted side even with the help of Mendes.

Once you're in the prem mate, and with the money that comes with it, that soon changes, maybe not top, top drawer players, but still quality.

We have the same problem attracting the very top players. We can afford them but can't get them to commit. But if someone like Mina has a choice between Wolves and Everton, then he picks Everton without doubt, no offence.

It takes time to move up the footballing pyramid and gets harder the further up you get. We will probably come 7th this year comfortably but still not challenge 6th, such is the gulf. But give it 2 years and hopefully we are closer.

Hopecully Burnley can hold saints to a point and likely RS smash West Ham (would prefer a draw) as only Palace has moved ahead of us from the so called "best of the rest" after game 1.

Next weekend we need to smash Southampton at home.

Looking at your side from the outside, i'd still say you are a real top striker away from shaking up the top 6. Not so sure either Spurs or Arsenal are really in front of you if your new signings come off.

No way were we dire. We played some half decent stuff, but we weren't as adventurous as i'd expect us to be and we seemed pretty nervous. I'd be pretty dissapointed though if after 10 games we were still playing like we did yesterday. I know we are a lot better than that. I'm not worried in the slightest though about surviving. Think we will stay up comfortably.
I think once they adapt to the prem pace, your lot will be very good. I wanted Everton to lump on Neves at the start of summer, god damn I'd swap him in a heartbeat for Schneiderlin et al. Benfica turned down 30mil from us last year for your loan striker too. Mendes pulling the strings. Good luck the rest of the season, but honestly your fans need to bin the sign on chant.

I wouldnt take it too seriously, just a bit of banter.

Apart from Citeh, i actually dont think there is a team in England Neves wouldnt be a starter in. I think with Mendes as his agent we will end up seeing him at one of the top clubs in Europe.
