We will see, I wouldn't put anything past federer he is awesome, would be one hell of a game to see sampras vs federer when he was in his prime.

Yes it would. Did you see that exhibition match between Federer and Nadal that was half-clay and half grass?

Henman can only play on grass? Well he's got to the semis of the French and the US Open so how the hell do you explain that?

And at least his so called 'one dimensional' tennis is good to watch. Unlike the complete bollocks played by Roddick, Rusedski etc.

I was also looking forward to watching Murray this year, but seeing as he was injured I wanted the only other half decent British player to do well. He played very well indeed to beat Carlos Moya, who is a decent player himself. And then did pretty well to come from two sets down to give Lopez a good game.

And I think it is fair to say that he was beaten by the rain on that occasion. I'm not one to make up excuses, and on all his other semis he did deserve to lose. But the rain break in the Ivanesavic final TOTALLY changed the game. Goran was down and out, but after a good rest he was a totally different player. Without the rain Henman would have won. There is no way you can argue with that.

Welton, there is no way to argue that point, one way or another. Henman didn't win, end of. Who knows what would have happened. Remember, who thought, at half-time, the [Poor language removed] would come back from 3-0 down to win the CL. We can speculate (and that is all it is) about what would have happened, but the fact remains, Henman lost against the old man.

Well, I can argue the point that without the rain he would have won. Because he would have done.

However, as Rob said there isn't anything you can do about rain and it was just awful bad luck that he didn't win the match. But still, is it right to say someone was/is rubbish when they've got a decent record and came so close to achieving something great? I don't think so. But, people seem to have this hatred of Tim so there we go. Nothing I say is going to make you think any different

Rodders, Henman is not nor ever has been rubbish, he has just not been good enough mate, unfortunately(y)

I'm not sure I'm saying he is rubbish, he just got way over hyped by the British media, one step up from bates really.

Yes he made it to a few semi's but... in the semi's is where you meet the big boys and well, there ya go.

As for the rain, show me proof that without the rain he would have won, I'd love to see it.
In the history books it says - Ivanesevic bt Henman.

Not... Hemman bt Ivanesevic (well he would have but it rained at an awfully unapproriate time...)

Henin won, and im glad she did, but i feel a bit sorry for serena because she was carrying multiple injuries and for a spell in the match really pushed and threatened henin.
