Women's Euro 2022

A peak TV audience of 7.6 million tuned into BBC One last night to see England progress to the semi-finals of Euro 2022. There were also 1.5 million streams across BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app.

Austria are a decent side, have been for a while. Germany are top level though. Potential of a classic semi final between them and France (though Netherlands are no push overs).

Sweden should easily see off Belgium tonight. Belgium have the smallest player in women's football (at least at the top level) playing left back in Davina Philtjens who is 4 foot 9.

My favourite player of the tournament - never stops and isn't intimidated by much bigger opponents.

Only been 20 minutes but it really doesn’t look like England should struggle with either of these
Sweden are a match for them. Good solid team, best ranked in the tournament (whatever that is worth).

They are missing a couple of players through covid etc too.

A final 4 of England, Germany, Sweden and France (or Netherlands to an extent) means it could be anyone's to win.
