Wear it, get booked, and then it's hard for them (FIFA and co.) to ignore it or sweep it under the carpet.

Sounds like one of those scouse accents that you find in Southport, or something like that.
Utter wools.

Get that Everton badge off as well.

Is 'caving in' a BBC journalists call to make?

I would have thought they have guidleines over getting so subjective.

Well you can't really use 'backing down' in the context when FIFA are demanding people change. So, caving in fits, given FIFA are being demanding

Here ends grammatical/journalistic lesson

Even that's too much.

A journalist would say 'thinking of reconsidering' and leave it at that. It hasn't even happened and just shows the level of hysteria the media are at right now.

As said before: is Dan Roan and the other BBC reporters out there compelled to report on this or might they act on their principles to boycott the World Cup? It's a sham.

When they go after the UK Government and UK businessmen doing deals with the Qataris maybe the likes of Roan can have room to 'speak truth to FIFA'.

Infantinos comments the other day rocked the western media hypocrites back on their heels. They had no answer to it other than to mock a line about ginger hair, because they're bankrupt fakes.

If you believe that wearing the arm band is the right thing to do you can't just cave in as soon as their are consequences.
I think they should wear it and if they book them walk off the pitch and refuse to play.
If they decide not to wear it football/ sport should stop making political protests all together and leave all the decisions to the FA and politicians.
If as an individual you feel strongly enough about a regime just don't go there.
