I wouldn't say that's true for Scotland but I also don't think there is a draw that could have happened that would be good for them as they simply aren't very good.

Normally I'd say warm weather is an advantage for the US. MLS plays in the summer in some hot locales (obviously not Qatar hot), but a large portion of the US pool plays in EU/UK now.

I’m not sure Holland, Argentina, Brazil is preferable. The way the draw has gone there don’t seem to be any easy routes if all the strong teams go through. That rarely happens though so I think the draw we got is pretty good
