I think Selby has missed his chance. A fully-firing Selby would have been 11-7 up today with three to play having twisted the knife. But he let Allen off the hook. I think he'll pay for that tonight. Allen has been obdurate. You have to be against Selby. And he has, somehow, held on. Obviously, the first few frames tonight are crucial. But I think Allen is a real live chance in this. Whether he has enough left for Brecel then tomorrow is another question. Selby seems to find a way to mitigate the damage he suffers from tiredness in world final first day sessions. So, if Selby does triumph tonight, I'd expect him to win. But Brecel seems carefree now. That makes him very dangerous.
