Well. I've been watching snooker for the first time since I came to Spain (1993) as my cable company gave us Eurosport for free when lockdown kicked in. At first, they were just repeating loads of finals from last year and showed the whole of last year's world championship. Good opportunity for me to catch up on current players, most of whom I didn't know. Funny to think the likes of Higgins and O'sullivan were young hopefuls the last time I'd seen the sport. I'd never seen a 147 live. Was watch ing the morning session yesterday and dozed off in my chair. When I woke up, John Higgins was just about to pot his 15th red. He reckons he would have failed if there'd been a crowd. Also reckons there'll be a couple more during the tournament. Hope he's right.

Sure he said they wouldn’t even make decent amateurs or something like that haha. Could hardly hear with the missus tapping but could tell it was brutal.

He’s right. Lads who would have played snooker just spend all day on games consoles. The lack of quality coming through is shocking.
