World Snooker Championship

I dispute that. He started earlier than most players, so that surely plays a big part.

Stephen Hendry did not even start til he was 12 years old.
He has the joint most ranking tournaments, the most triple crown titles the most century breaks , the fastest ever 147, the most 147s in competition .
To name just a few records. Turned up to a world championship Without playing a tournament all year and won it .
Made a century when he was 12 too.. but no he aint naturally gifted.

That’s not what I said. I disputed the “natural talent” thing. Surely it’s harder for one kid who starts years later to reach the same level?

That’s not what I said either. Of course he is naturally talented. I dispute he is the most naturally talented, given how early he started playing. He got a big head start.
It was natural talent that enabled him to start so early. A friend of mine has a 7 year old son who is a naturally talented snooker player, at 7 years old he is already ranked number 8 in the welsh under 14’s rankings.

This is even more impressive when you add the fact he’s only played on a full size table for 12 months
