Worst act you ever saw live

I went and saw Sixto Rodriguez ages ago in a small venue.

At the time he was a recovering alcoholic, before the show, his manager came on and asked that no one offer him alcohol.

Well, someone gave him wine. He could barley stand up, let alone perform.
It was really sad to see him like that.

Snow Patrol supporting the awesome Grandaddy at the Manchester academy in late 2003.
Hard to believe they would become so successful shortly after.
Only saw Grandaddy once when they were supporting Super Furry Animals. I can safely say that both bands were excellent.

Overall I've dropped on. Even Ian Brown was bang on when I saw him supporting the Manics back in the day. And I went watching Happy Mondays a couple of years back and they were surprisingly slick. Though I was somewhat distracted by Rowena who'd made a wardrobe choice that could only be described as risky in terms of keeping things in check while dancing.

Mercury Rev were always a bit of an enigma back when they were fronted by David Baker. The first time I saw them, they were an absolute shambles. The other time they were absolutely mindblowing, one of the best things I've ever seen.
David Baker and those first 2 albums are Mercury Rev for me.

Worst performance - Shed Seven. Dismally poor. Awful. I used to go to a lot of gigs but that was truly abysmal.

I've seen the Wu Tang Clan mumble incoherently while sitting/ lying down as they were so blunted. I saw the Wedding Present fall into a collapsing stage. I remember the Jesus and Mary Chain telling everyone to koff and walking off after 20 minutes. I've seen bands who just don't come off on the night. But Shed Seven were absolutely the nadir. Thanks Mad Mick for insisting we saw them and wasting a fiver on them.

Me too. They're the only ones that still get bumped by me today. "Yerself... " ought to have been a game changer when it came out but then grunge happened which meant Boces got pretty much ignored.

I saw Shed Seven pretty early on (before their second single) and they were alright. Nice bunch of lads, too.

good to see this thread confirms that anthony kiedis is the worst front man, and everything else, in the history of music
John Frusciante was taking loads of heroin around this time so not sure if it's deliberate or not, but it has always seemed to me that in this clip he's deliberately trying to make it impossible for Keidis to sing the song. Timing just off, slipping in and out of key. Whatever, it's funny AF regardless.

Hurricane #1 at the Lomax is another. One of my best mates used to go to every gig of this ilk, so I’d go to many of them, some were great, others decent, these were just terrible (like this and The Seahorses I mentioned deadlier). My mate is so obsessed with this era, growing up, he started his own Butlins festivals, so all his fave bands could get back together to play at them.
