Worst aspects of modern football

Yes, the club don't own the stadium so they don't get a say in setting the prices. If Everton end-up selling to the American lot who were sniffing about then as I stated before they will separate the ownership of the new stadium and the club, the club will lease the stadium from a separate company, and the company will service the debt through match day revenue such as ticket sales/refreshments and services, and then make a profit in perpetuity for the investors, meanwhile the club don't actually have a stadium, just a lease on one.

I don't even drink and I think that's bad mate. As for the stadium stuff, those Yanks have no chance as they have failed to show they have the actual funds and after that government strategic review thing leveraged buyouts are unlikely to happen at the top level anymore as there is just too much risk involved.

I agree, it's ridiculous. I'm just pleased that in my younger days I got to just turn up on matchday and queue up, throw some coins over at the turnstyle and run up the steps and in to the crowd for 90 mins of surges, bad language and laughs. The 'old' football days (80's in my case) will always be preferred to todays era. We get to see the worlds best players now though, so there is a pay off somewhere, it's just too much though in my opinion.

So many to choose from. Cheating, gambling ads, overpaid primadonnas, VAR. But for me it's:

Bad I know, but in the  grand sorry, poor scheme of things - well down the list.

Diving...and the fact that Reffs seem to have 'rules of engagement' set by, well who actually knows, the PL? sky?
Rather than just enforcing the rules as laid down.
VAR is only a symptom

This Uber hard away day terrace warrior mentality which is actually just a bunch of lads with bad haircuts wearing jackets they’ve bought on a finance plan.

You’re not “representing” you look like idiots. Nobody wants a repeat of the dark days of football and if they were around that back then they’d drop their arses straight away.
