Our defence is not a top ten standard back four I promise you.

Moyes had some bad players in the early to mid 2000's, the earliest I can remember is 02-03 but at least we had an identity and were strong at home. I've never known Goodison to be so easy for the opposition

Our biggest issue squad was is a lack of option in important areas.

We have one left back. Not even a good one, a left back who gets injured a fair bit.
Our right backs are ancient or always injured (and again not even good in 2024.)
We have realistically 4 centre mids, one is on loan, 2 are over 30 and the other bloke is another one who is always missing time.
2 of our 4 attacking mids/wingers are on loan Our two best ones play in the same position.
Our strikers are all the same type. Big hold up players with minimal goal threat.
Even out of our centre backs there are only 2 I trust and if either of them is missing we are in trouble.
Goalie is boss obviously.

Our best 11, with a competent manager has us playing relatively decent football. I have no doubt about that.

True. But it wouldn't change much IMO. We'd be like Palace really.

It's not the worst squad not by a long shot, what is the worst is how it's being used, by a tactically inept manager. We don't have the pace going forward to play the style he seems to want but he either hasn't realised this or he doesn't care and has no plan B.
