It`s also a nice place, that`s populated by absolute horrors.

They hate everyone in equal measure, even the pretty little towns outside, who have a Leeds postcode, like Otley and Guisely.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if people from Leeds still think that the earth is flat!lol

Always liked Sheff Wed. Had a cool badge in the sticker album. Also what happened to them in last 25 years was very nearly what happened to us. Dunno how we managed to hang on tbh
The Owls are doing well in League One at the moment. Hopefully they won't bottle their promotion attempt now!

Sheffield is a proper footballing city, unlike Leeds which is more of a rugby league town.

Rotherham. Up and down club but mostly rubbish whether on the upstroke or downstroke. Plus any team that play somewhere called the New York Stadium have delusions of grandeur.

Not keen on Leeds but do have fond memories of a night match at Elland road in the Championship some years ago when we pasted them 5-0.

I've cast my vote for Sheffield Wednesday.
This on the basis that they resemble our club in so many ways one of which being that its so sad to see an old established club in a two club City being upstaged by their red neighbours.

Traditionally the Owls would be seen as the bigger club. Sheffield Wednesdays most recent trophy was the League Cup in 1991, and Sheffield Uniteds most recent trophy was the FA Cup in 1925.

The Blades have had the better of things in more recent years though. They will most likely be back in the Premier League next season as well.

The Owls most recent top flight season was in 1999/2000. This feels like a dirty thing to say, but Sheffield United are probably the bigger club now sadly.

Agree with above.
Wednesday etched into my mind following the 66 Cup final and their iconic stadium and playing in blue were my favourite team in the city.
And yes, The Blades and their set up more suited to the modern era.

I wish I could find the news report from years ago... Someone famous (I think it was an artist but may be wrong) said hull was a dump and the people were all backward. The reporter went to hull to ask the public what they thought of the comments and it was like looking at a load of orcs from lord of the rings. They were massively overweight and could barely get their words out through their tombstone teeth. Was almost like a brass eye sketch.

Philip Larkin?

It's Leeds all day long for me.
