Would things drastically change if Benitez left tomorrow?

If Benitez left tomorrow and nothing else changed would Everton's fortunes improve?

But this is the issue with Benitez, he cant turn us around becuase the problems are deeper then him, and will still be present if we replace him.
Ad to that if there was a better option why didnt they, as in this other manager come in the summer, the world new the job was there, but none wanted in.

Right now the problem is Moshiri, but he is at the top, so were a bit screwed
Right now the players we have aren’t performing and that’s on Benitez

I agree on all the other issues that aren’t on him but he’s making crap decisions and the footy is tosh

The Geordies are idiots and if you look at the stats from his time in charge it’s comparable with Bruce.

China isn’t an irrelevance, everybody knew for months that he was leaving Newcastle in 2019 but no other PL club even had a sniff of him and he wound up in China for a ‘project’
how much net spend did Rafael have, compared to Bruce? I think you will find one dwarfed the other. And you can't compare their stints, Benitez took over a team heading down the chute, Bruce took over a club in a healthy position and was given money to spend. No, he didn't leave for China cos noone else would have him, he left cos they were going to pay him £12m a year. Who turns that down. Let's see what other managers China has offered 12m a year. they knew the were getting a top manager.

Interesting to see the Benitez Boys vote 'No', as if the man's job makes no discernable difference to the club and is largely ineffective.

The man is and always will be massively divisive, he may be finished, he may be the answer, God alone knows. The only thing that is certain, is that you dont find out after so few games. there was a huge pwecentage of the fanbase wanting Kendall out after a poor run, thansk God they didnt get their way. I genuinely couldn't give A toss about Benitez and he certainly wasnt anybody i would have chosen Had I been given a vote. But he is here now, he has to be given at least one window when he can spell some cash. If we go down the route of sacking managers after ten games or whatever, we may as well jack it in.

IMO we need a young manager - who can attract youth stars = imo Frank Lampard - why his background of being a midfielder - his contacts with youth systems etc - plus our team needs a youth injection - out with the hasbeens slow pedantic football - play with pace - plus a keeper who can command his area - catching a ball - not flapping at it - not just a shot stopper - if Spurs come in let him go ......

A total rebuild is needed with enthusiasm at the Manager level downwards plus upwards Brands has to go too....

The answer is No

But nothing can start to improve until the manager is replaced.

The 2 questions issues aren't linked. No one changes things dramatically overnight, but nothing changes period under this manager, unless you are looking for even more regression

Obviously whoever takes over can’t be any worse results wise so by definition the likelihood is yes it would improve things because a win or 2 would be a step change in itself

At this stage we need to change the board, they have allowed the club to descend into the state we are in now. After they have gone I would change most of the players, they can’t or won’t play. Once we get through that lot then I would look at the manager.
The person, like him or not, with the least blame attached to him is Benitez, he took over a club in this state. You can question his judgement for allowing himself to get into the position where he is the scapegoat for years of mismanagement.
The answer to the question is “No”, sacking Benitez will make no difference, the club is a basket case and has been for years. Moshiri’s money slowed the descent but now that we can’t splurge on average players the descent is gathering pace.
We need to realise we won’t be challenging for trophies for years to come, we need a complete overall of everything to do with the playing side of the club. Despite our lowly position I think we can still take a step backwards before we move forward. If we don’t do something drastic we will become a relegation club in the next two years. We will have the best ground in the Championship.
