You're a sharp one aren't you.Do you not think if you're getting terrored all over the Internet your opinion might be utter dog turd?
So that'd be Tory then.Look, due to forums like this being inhabited by politically clued up folks who hold passionate views on the subject, I will politely decline to answer your question for fear of getting dogs abuse as I did on another website.
True Blue, as ever.So that'd be Tory then.
Righto.
I'd like to think I would have been brave enough, re the Spanish civil war, and World War 2.
Interesting thread very topical.
I am from an era when the last thing you saw on the television before it shut down at about 1130pm was the national anthem, and as a kid watching the Remembrance Day ceremony at Whitehall and seeing the Queen and thinking it was your unquestionable duty to fight and ultimately die for her, if the need arose. At that time, I would have done exactly that, without question.
Its all academic now of course given my age, but ask the same question today and I do not think that the level of patriotism exists in this country that would persuade me to say yes. This due to the fact that pretty much like some people are happy to let others graft their bollocks off to provide the funds to pay benefits, there would be a great many who would be happy to let others do the dirty work necessary.
The very same things were being uttered when I started work all those years ago. 50 years of paying NI contributions it would be nice now to think I will get something in return.God damn those OAP's who sit around all day doing nothing but watch Bargain Hunt, free of charge of course - no need splurge on a TV License - at the ever mounting cost to future generations who will never be afforded such a luxury.

Thing is like you say, there are fewer and fewer people left to fund such things.
Aint life a bitch.
Keep grafting mate like I did, and am still doing. There something else for you for you to have a pop at. Rather than sit at home like you suggest I am still in the workplace. You do and did get something in return during those times when paying NI - healthcare cover. That's the only way I'm getting through the hard graft, contributing to your right to sit at home and do nothing.
