I don’t get the point?

Every one of those excluding Silva has done a lot more and been a lot more successful throughout their careers than Davey ‘FA Cup’ final’ Moyes. Given the choice of Moyes or any of those names above (Silva excluded - Not sure why he’s even in the same sentence as those others given he has done nothing of note in his whole career) I would go with the latter every time.

De Boer and Marco Silva are far bigger managerial failures than Moyes.

Coming in till the end of the season is one thing but if you want him to come in any longer you need to get your head tested. If he does come back and has us playing like his Wet Ham and Sunderland sides i'm sure any chance of him getting the job on a long term basis will be squashed. He would have to show he has adapted tactically to have any shot of getting the job past the end of the season.

Wouldn't be my choice as I think he's an overrated leather but the myth about how great his time was here might carry the day giving amuch needed uplift. I said on the Silva thread it's the biggest gamble this club has ever made if true but I'll give him a fair chance if he turns up

His time here wasn't "great".....steadied the ship but outstayed his welcome by 5 years.....no thanks

I don’t disagree with that and in all honesty I don’t think Moyes is a failure as such, I think he’s just suited to a certain type of club, similar to the type of clubs that the likes of Alan Pardew, Mark Hughes etc... are suited to.

I don’t see why any of this has any relevance to do with me not wanting David Moyes back as manager though.

Koff with this, if this beaut comes back it would finish us off. Why are we so narrow minded? Loads of crap ex players from the worst period in our history coaching all over the gaff and this failure still lingering about. It stinks of Bill and his acceptance of mediocrity. Utter shambles if true.
