Would you welcome back Wayne Rooney back to Goodison ?

I think he would love to come here but will be swayed by money, he is a big lad and wont be able to play at the highest level for too long after 30.

ultimately he will go where the money is, I mean he had the balls to take on ferguson and demand 250k a week, if we offered him 50k a week and china offered him 300k a week, its a no brainier.

He will only come when he cant get bigger wages, when he past his best, and us dickheads will forgive, for me he got to come back in his peak, hope he does wear a everton shirt for us when he past his best.

I can see him getting a mega contract in China or America after he leaves Utd and maybe coming on loan, maybe for a season or possibly like Donovan has.

He is on the same wages as Tevez, so it will always be unlikely.

Even when he is passed it (and no longer good enough for Everton) he will still get far more lucrative contract offers from America and the Far East.

The only way Rooney is coming back is if he decides to buy the club himself.

The problem will always be finding the right time.Rooney coming back at 32-33 probably would be nothing more than a sentimental journey for the player and really wouldn't benefit the club greatly.
However,if at 30 Rooney decided to give to or three worthwhile years to us,then of course yes.

Which is why it will never happen. A 30 year old Rooney will still command circa 200k a week. A 33 year old Rooney will be able to command that type of wage from America or the Far East.

It's very similar to me dreaming about us signing Tevez, although I think Tevez would be more effective and better value for money.

He could quite easily come back on a free for a year after his united contract finishes, play for £100,000 a week then bugger off to somewhere for much bigger money with his name value still intact.
Just one of many scenarios that could happen.
