WW3

Im trying to think what US products I consume in order to boycott.

Other than Social media, films, TV, music, im struggling to think what I consume from Murica, can somebody point out the obvious im missing?
In the UK it's much easier to avoid but there's still Maccies, Subway, 5 guys (still going in town?).

They also own Walkers through Pepsi-Lays and probably loads of other brands you'd think are still British but are long since part of a package of another package of companies.

All the Proctor and Gamble/Unilever stuff.

They're in everything.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not Walkers!

The complication is, as Canada is part of the commonwealth, and as such share a defence pact, on top of being NATO members.
Trump's disdain for NATO is well known so any destabilising of Canada wouldn't bother him.
Quite funny seeing what's gone on with 5 eyes and refusing to share US intelligence with Canada.... Ummm the rest of the members are all part of the Commonwealth.

Let's be honest, the relationship between the UK and Europe with the US has been balanced towards those across the Atlantic. It was to their advantage.

Yet, there's been strong ties and we could, more often than not, rely on them. Since Trump has taken office, the whole relationship has appeared to change.

The US is now unpredictable; it has doubled down with Israel and looks to be cuddling up with Russia - a direct threat to Europe. There is no reliance now!

Worse, we have the US talking openly about Greenland and control even via force, which is a European nation's territory. Fluff reliance, we look more like an enemy.

The issue is that maybe it's given a Europe the kick up the arse it needs to become less reliant on the US for many aspects, namely defence, and alienates them.
For that to register their has to be unity, politically and economically.
Q. Which country derailed Eropean economic unity ably supported by 'allies' in the US?

Not really for war. Just gonna make the best of living in a totalitarian govt w/ my only solace being that for at least a while I have a semi-decent football team to root for.

You don’t know what will come out of it except the noise you’re hearing.

That’s what negotiations are for.

Not dissimilar to the NI talks, lots of walk outs, hot air, miss characterisations, claims and counter claims. Noise.

Let them talk or continue fighting and then talk at some future point anyway, that the two options.

It’s not just talk or ‘theatre’. If it was just the US President and Vice President bullying their so-called wartime ally in the Oval Office in front of the world media, then you might have a point - it could just be smoke and mirrors.

But we’ve also seen the US stop intelligence sharing which has compromised Ukraine’s ability to defend itself and has openly resulted in more Russian attacks, taking advantage of their compromised defence.
