Unfortunately troglodytes like MTG, Vance et al all think themselves above the UK as, in their mind, they decided to "rescue" us from Hitler; despite the fact America entered WW2 due to Pearl Harbour and Germany subsequently declaring war on them.

It was refreshing to hear that journo put it right back on her, unfortunately it feels like the majority are afraid to move after actions like Trump banning the AP from the White House.

I think more likely a stalemate at best to be honest mate.
America was crucial in the Atlantic sustaining us with food/weapons etc. I like to think we would have held out but mercifully, it's all moot anyway.
Either way, it's incredibly sad it has came to this given the backing we've gave them across the Middle East.

What they don't talk about in the open is how they had to rescue europe (not the uk) because they couldn't allow all the the nazi innovation to be stripped out by their pals from russia. The nazis had enough heavy water to make a bomb (between two competing firms), and they'd put more effort into rocketry than anyone. Had the iron curtain fallen on the Atlantic wall, instead of through Berlin, then there would be no europe, not even now, and stalin would probably lead mao at the top of the all time killed table. Grim thinking about.

The Nazies would have lost regardless imo. But it's anyone's guess where the border between the West and the Soviet Union would have eventually been drawn.
