Was going to get a PS3 but the mrs wants an easy life this christmas and has said she will get me a game console so going to to blag I would rather have an xbox because PS3 are ridiculously priced.

So whats the difference lads between arcade and premium xbox360?

All I would need is an Xbox that lets me play Pro Evo and Call of Duty over the internet.

Arcade comes with a couple of Xbox live arcade games and a memory card which is good but you wont be able to save much on it.

A premium comes Xbox Live ready with Ethernet cable, X-box Live Communicator (headset) and a 60 GB hard drive which is more then enough for game saves and etc.

A premium comes with a hard drive and wireless controller. Get an Arcade, and pick up a used harddrive and save some cash.

And get FIFA 09 so you can play with us!!!

dylan and zero are spot on.

myself , i bought the arcade pack ,which had 2 free average games added in a bundle.
on the spot i traded in the 2 free games in exchange for a headset and a better game that i actually wanted.
then i bought a second hand 20gb hardrive for £40 (which also had the added bonus of lots of freebie files like demos addons and themes left on it).

doing it this way should figure out that you have all you need for less than what you would pay for the premium pack .
not having a wireless handset or a big harddrive isnt the end of the world.

i suggest aswell getting the 3 month xbox live pre paid card at first while you get to grips with it.£15

Call of Duty???

You need to man up and play Battlefield 2.

There is no difference between XB and PS3. Companies design for both systems anyway so neither one has many exclusive titles (XB: Halo, Gears of War PS3: Resistance fall of man, LittleBigPlanet, MGS 4 will be on the XB by next year).

The PS3 is going down in flames, they are going to lose about 2+Billion on it. Its even being outsold by the XB in Japan of all places. I could see Sony abondoning it next year (the PSP is doing very well though).

There is also a mid priced X Box pro ($300 US) that has a 40GB? HD. I would get the Arcade and just buy a used hard drive though. You need a HD though becasue the downloadable games have been some of the best games on the console.

And you have to buy extra hard drives, an add on so you can play Blu ray, and you have to pay to play online???

The xbox is a really great choice that saves you money!....NOT

mwahahahahah

Except I couldn't give a toss about him. I bought the system that suits me best, and maybe soon getting a PS3 for GT5 and Blu-Ray.

Im just sore you've got your little Xbox fifa club, when obviously the best players (ehem) are playing ps3.

You have to pay to play online????

Woah ripped off there.

lol , yes that is the difference , but you do get what you pay for.
the communication side is excellent , the exclusive content on xbox is ace aswell .

also , on the 19 november the xbox will enhance itself to the 'xbox experience 'as well.
this wont just be a a plain old update , but an huge change in the way xbox works.(first time in history its been done )
the blade system is changing , avatars are being added aswell as online live gameshows with real prizes , and the option to store your games and run them straight from the hard drive just to name a few changes.(hopefully web browsing soon too).

where as the ps3 interface hasnt really progressed from a dreamcast standard.
