You haven't heard of 'home' then.

I heard that trying to watch a dvd on the xbox was akin to torture by whirring sounds. Where be my ps3 purrs like a kitten when I pop in my blu ray.

DVD is the new VHS.

If I wanted to watch a DVD I'd put it my DVD player... I own a console to play games on... not to watch movies.

Well, I have the HD DVD player for the 360 (got it for a present) and the upscaling qualities far surpass my DVD players HD upscale. Plus it is quiet, so all of our DVD's are played through the HD DVD player on my Xbox.

this is just a question but does the xbox support divx? and can it play movies and stuff on its browser of off thge net?

as they updated the ps3 a couple of days ago so it does this and if i goe to ovguide i can watch most of the movies on it in full screen on my 37" tv and the pic is fooking great!

so was just wandering wether the xbox has this?

not starting an argument just curius and cant be arsed too check!

lol

It's funny how sony fanboys always use... does the xbox have <enter something completely none console related here>. It's a games console it plays games and some good ones at that.

as of right now you can't surf the net on the 360... but that is probably about to change.

It can, so long as the computer has the right codecs. My xbox can stream any media from my computer onto my 42" tv. I have never tried streaming a movie from the internet, but I don't see it being a problem.
