Prefer Natal tbh, both look great though, gaming is making huge advancements, stupid fanboys on that youtube site though trying to score points by calling one or the other sh1t, pathetic

I was actually impressed by the Sony motion controller. I thought it was like a mature version of Wii Motion Plus.

Could see it being an interesting addition. Microsoft are making an exact replica in conjunction with Natal, so it's obviously not that bankrupt an idea.

oh and i heard a rumer a while back that the game dc universe is going to be inabled to play online via multi platform! so i could be on my ps3 and be playing against people on there pc! dunno if its true though! very much doubt it!

DC Universe Online Developer Troubled by Cross-Platform Play
Thats old news matey mainly becuase SOE cant code for [Poor language removed],look at final fantasy 11 works well across all platforms yet these clowns cant run or code games properly.

The sadest thing though is i've just finished played everquest 2 and prior to that star wars galaxies so i've had 6 years of paying them for thier games,SOE are hopeless when it comes to thier games this is in part due to the fact that they (SOE) came under the film divison of Sony:blink: for years, indeed they partied like it was 1999 until last year when the PS3 division came along and got ahold of them by the scuff of the neck and as a result things have improved a little but not by much.

And to uknightbreed honestly in the long term the download service will hurt us,mark my words becuase they just want to cut retail out of the picture alltogether,MS have been after this for years but cleverly i might add waited for the likes of Valve to pieoneer a service to download from with Steam, the full impact of this move,if indeed it readily taken on board by Sony and Nintendo wont be felt with this generation of machines,it'll be the next generation (i.e a couple of years from now at most) that will use it to its full extent.

One great thing about the Persona games, the strategy guides sell for bunches.

After selling my SMT: Nocturne strat guide for $90, I bought 10 Persona 3 Strat guides for $20each held on to them for a year when they were out of print and sold them for $50-60 on amazon.com

I bought 15 Persona 4 strat guides for $12 each and holding on to them for awhile.

Persona 4 is 100 hours of goodness, its even better if you never played Persona 3 before. Almost finished with it and will finally start FF12 after I'm done. Then I'll play Persona 3: FES.

I didn't like the Digital Devil Saga games and quit after about the 20th hour. Unfortunately for SMT games as much as I love the stories, most of the games hate you. I particularly remember the day I quit Persona 2, great story, but they had this one dungeon that was on fire, and you had 30 minutes to get through it. It was easy to get lost in it and the timer kept running while you were waiting for the enemy to make a move and was getting a random battle w/ every other step. They bombard you with an obscene number of random battles like every other step. It drives you mad.

Other good JPRGs in the PS1/PS2 era.

Xenosaga epi 1 (see avatar) is the greatest game ever created. Incredible story and extremely fun battle system that was also challenging. Unfortunately the creator of Xenogears/Xenosaga was fired after it (even though it made money) and the last 2 episodes were a flaming pile of dog feces.

Xenogears (PS1) - Has even a better story than Xenosaga, 70 hours long, and the best cast of characters in an RPG. Xenosaga is a slightly better just becasue its a funner game to play.

Star Ocean 3 - fun RPG to play, story was good until the lousy ending though. But worth playing.

Ring of Red (PS2) - a launch title for the PS2. A fun and different giant Robot Strat RPG.

Shadow Hearts 1-2

Suikoden 3 - Suikoden 4-5 were low budget crapfests but S3 was a spectular game.

Seriously, what are you talking about? Speak English man.

still gonna be a great game though! (hopes)

Do one McBain you bad codger lad!

I really liked Xenosaga Episode 2 tbh. The battle system was obtuse but I thought it had an incredibly engaging story. The graphics were meh and the voices were [Poor language removed], but I ignored that...lol.

Couldn't get into Xenogears either. If in the first house in the game you talk to an npc and they say, out of nowhere 'the man who abandoned you 14 years ago, maybe it was your long lost father?'

Retcon doesn't even cover it.

I prefer my games with more subtle foreshadowing.

Agree about the Star Ocean TTEOT plot twist aswell, utter garbage.

I've got Suikoden 2 which costs ridiculous sums of money, absolutely not worth it but decent enough game.

Ooo ooo, Tales of Symphonia was an amazing game aswell. Though I'm a whore for that series too.

And if you can get your hands on Lost Odyssey, quality game.

Sorry rambling, this is like my mastermind specialist subject I can't help myself.

Give Xenogears a shot, the beginning starts out slow for the 1st 8-10hrs or so but the story is so worth it. There has never been a better antangonist than Miang and Krelian.

In Xenosaga epi 3, well it was OK but the story was utter B movie garbage. At least they brought the old XS epi 1 voices back.

Tales of Symphonia was pretty good.

Chrono Cross was also a fantastic game.

My top RPGs are in order:

1. Xenosaga epi 1
2. Xenogears
3. FF7
4. Persona 4
5. FF X
6. Phantasy Star 2 (Genesis/Mega Drive)
7. FF 6
8. FF X-2 (very underrated, extremely fun to play, my fav FF battle system)
9. Zelda 2: Adventure of Link - never got into Zelda games the only 1 I like is the Zelda that's not like any of the others
10. The World Ends with You (DS)

Others: Star Ocean 2-3, FF4, FF Tactics, Ring of Red, Tales of Symphonia, Grandia 2 (Dreamcast version), Kingdom Hearts 1, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Shadow Hearts 1-2, Legend of Dragoon, Lunar Eternal Blue (PS1), Shining Force (Genesis), Disgaea 1

Does Lost Odyssey get better? I got it for 15 quid about a month ago and have only played it for a few hours. The first couple of memory storybook things irritated me so I've not been arsed with it. I might try it again tho if it does improve.

Tell you what else was well good but doesn't often get mentioned, Skies of Arcadia. The boats man, the BOATS.

Yeah I've got the SoA remake for the Gamecube. Fun game.

Yes I really enjoyed Lost Odyssey. Very traditional, but I think the story holds up well. And frankly the dreams were my favourite part, but if they're not for you then fair enough.

I had the DC version of SoA and stopped it after getting frustrated by all the random battles. Well not the battles it was the god-awful loading times for the random battles; I once counted 1 loading time at 35 sec. Heard the GC version was alot better in this dept.

Havent played Lost Odyssey, heard its OK, nothing great.

Another good RPG: Dark Cloud (Chronicle) 2 - prob a little dated now though

not an rpg but got socom confronation yesterday and its a very good game!! bloody hard cuz its online only but good!
