Wightman: expected him to win the 1,500m with ease but he had nothing in the final straight. Made up for Hoare the Aussie. Very well deserved.

The track and field events apart from a few like the 800m women and 1,500m men were lacking in quality but the other stuff in the pool and hockey and cycling were very good.

Getting withdrawal symptoms already...when's the Europeans?!?!

Well enjoyed that , particularly the athletics and the cycling , we went to a few events and the Closing Ceremony 8 years in Glasgow , they’re great fun.
