4-3-3, total football...

Does anyone know if we pay the Yak's wages whike hes injured or do the club have an insurance policy to pay the wages in the case of long term injury!

From what I've been told from a guy who works with court cases, laywers and contracts etc at work football players contracts differ and are very longwinded.

But what he did say they cover the payments during injury etc. What usually happens, he said, is that depending on the length of injury his wages are halved or gradually knocked down to a set rate over months to cover medical costs, rehabilitaion etc.

Its like any other job really. A normal job pays for leave, sickness etc only for a certain point depending on how long you've been their (I think). The Yak's gonna be out for over 5 months. If that happened in a "normal" job, they'd pay you up and ship you off. Happened to me mate who bust his knee playing football. Was out for months, then had an op months later and was off for 3 months. His work could only pay him to a certain point so they let him go, ended up cheaper.

Players who have lengthy times on the sidelines are never paid their full weekly wage.

Achilles is a major issue. You don't want to mess with them. Injury to the achilles can be much more serious than your standard hamstring or even knee. I like Yak and it is my hope that this isn't a career ender.

Depending on the severity, it is possible that he may never make it completely back. There was an all-pro cornerback, Kevin Smith, for the Dallas Cowbows that ruptured his achilles. Even with the all the therapy, desire, and money he was never again was the player that he had been. The corner position depends on speed so maybe there is a difference. Yak isn't a pace player so maybe it won't be an issue for him. Then again, it might.

This injury is a such a buzz kill.

True, but his Transfer fee would be relatively low - so the money that we save on buying him can go towards his wages :unsure::unsure:...

Over Owens career, the price of his transfers are proportional to his length of injuries. Look at the history. While at the [Poor language removed] they get a small wedge for him from Real Madrid. He spends the whole time there and gets sold for almost double the money!!!

Imagine what it would currently cost to bring him here!! Probably about 35million!!!!!
