Joking aside, it is a strange one. I don't know the fine details of the loan, but I can't imagine there is a financial reason for Bolassie or Villa (possible they've 'encouraged' him to return, but unlikely) behind it. I.e. extra payments or loss of earnings. Probably is a move elsewhere.

Seen a few Villa fans saying they may have wanted him gone to free up his wages (because of FFP) to bring in 2 or 3 other players they've been looking at.
