Havent seen much of Bolasie this year but I have seen enough of Walcott and I can confidently say that if Bolasie does absolutely nothing going forward but helps out defensively and tracks back, then its improvement on Walcott.

That's absolute tosh.

He has scored fewer goals in a far far worse league. He couldn't get regular game time in the championship.

Bolasie is the biggest waste of money in the history of the club. He is atrocious.

Sadly, that injury effectively finished his career. It's amazing that he came back from it at all. It must have been very close to an insurance claim.

Surely this will prove that he’s a write off.

What did we expect to achieve from that loan?

1. Improve value?
2. Loan club purchase him?
3. Learn more about that player/give him experience?
4. Free up wages for the short term.

1 and 2 were never going to happen. 3 is no. 4 is the desperate, nuclear option that I think we've perhaps been guilty of a bit too much, too soon with offloading players.

Anyway, welcome back Yannick. Like a new signing, or something. Now sell him to a knee-jerk club on deadline day who are desperate to appease moody Twitterati.

Mainly it gets a disgruntled player away from the club.
